As an indie comics/media creator, I thought that it would only be fitting to spread the word around about other indie creators, artists, writers and any other person from this artistic medium in this dog-eat-dog industry.
Starting Thursday July 8th, PKD Media will proudly present to you folks that you may be sleeping on, never heard of, might possibly know but never knew enough about, or maybe even forgot about.
It’s time that someone spread the word about these talented folk. PKD Media is all about spreading the love like a Barry White album.
Peace and good times.

After returning home from a eventful Heroes Con, Ian Levenstein of the Comic Timing Podcast invited myself, super-artist Martheus Wade, and Jon Carroll to talk about Heroes Con and the Metropolis Celebration.

This episode is rated GF for Grown Folks. There’s some language that’s not for the kids.
Enjoy!

A few weeks ago, comics podcaster Alec Berry of the Teenage Wasteland podcast extended out his multimedia reach to me and asked if I wanted to be on his show to answer some questions as to what PKD Media is really all about.
The result is an in-depth, behind the scenes look at the creation of PKD comics from a creators side. It was a great time, and Alec is quite the consummate professional; he was on his P’s & Q’s when it came to his questions. Alec knows his stuff about comics.
It’s a good listen. Check it out:
Teenage Wasteland – Episode 33
Catch you on the other side.

For those that are not in the know, Comic Geek Speak is a podcast that focuses on comic books, graphic novels and a fortitude of topical artistic/creator discussions five days a week.
They have a very strong following, and 2010 marks the second year of Comic Geek Speak’s own comic convention called the CGS Super Show! The Super Show will have a rotisserie of creators and artists ranging from such names as Jamal Igle (Supergirl, Firestorm), Mike Norton (Green Arrow/Black Canary), Katie Cook (Star Wars), Danielle Corsetto (Girls With Slingshots), and a slew of others. There will also be vendors and much, much more as well. Imagine it as a comic convention with a “welcome home” type of feel to it.
Find out more info on the CGS Super Show here.
PKD Media will also be attending the CGS Super Show as well, and we even have a official sponsor that has paid our table fees! Woo-hoo!
The 100% Super Show Approved website (Created and run by comics creator Dave Dwonch) has further details on this:

Artist/Illustrator Andy Jewett over the years has had work published by Angry Gnome Comics, Arcana Studio, Dial R Studios, Ronin Studios and Silent Devil and Top Shelf. He currently has a compelling and thoughtful mini-comic called “Sicko” out which is one of my favorite books of 2009.
He has also provided a cover to the upcoming “PKD Media Presents: Volume 2″ as well. Andy just wants to tell stories with pretty pictures. He does a fine job doing such.
Andy has decided to get a artists table at the 2010 CGS Super Show, and the upcoming PKD Media podcast (The PKD Black Box) is the official co-sponsor of Mr. Jewett, chipping in to take care of half the fees for his table.

How I feel about comics every single day...
We’re glad that Andy has decided to come to the Super Show, and hopefully people stop by and pick up a sketch or two from this underrated and talented dude.
You can learn more about Andy Jewett by clicking here, or you can visit his sketch blog by clicking here.
See you at the Super Show, Andy. The PKD Black Box podcast is honored to be your co-sponsor.
