For those that are not in the know, Comic Geek Speak is a podcast that focuses on comic books, graphic novels and a fortitude of topical artistic/creator discussions five days a week.

They have a very strong following, and 2010 marks the second year of Comic Geek Speak’s own comic convention called the CGS Super Show! The Super Show will have a rotisserie of creators and artists ranging from such names as Jamal Igle (Supergirl, Firestorm), Mike Norton (Green Arrow/Black Canary), Katie Cook (Star Wars), Danielle Corsetto (Girls With Slingshots), and a slew of others. There will also be vendors and much, much more as well. Imagine it as a comic convention with a “welcome home” type of feel to it.

PKD Media will have its inaugural presence at Free Comic Book Day this Saturday May 1^st 2010 at Comic Oasis in Las Vegas, NV!

Back on May 1st PKD Media made its Free Comic Book Day debut on the East Coast (New Dimension Comics in McMurray, PA) and West Coast (Comic Oasis in Las Vegas, NV).

Both events turned out to be fantastic for both us and the stores that allowed us to partake in the fun of FCBD.

At New Dimension Comics, Mercury & the Murd artist Chad Cicconi drew free sketchcards for the kids and gave away Mercury & The Murd samplers and the people were quite pleased!

At Comic Oasis , PKD Marketing Director & Lanterncast Program Director Jason Grice gave away 50 copies of PKD Media Presents #1, which has stories featuring Mercury & The Murd, Exo-1 & The Rock Solid Steelbots, and Agents of C.O.L.T., all of which can be seen at our website. This “super-sized” 100+ page sampler was free to any customer who attended FCBD at Comic Oasis, and Jason handed out 50 copies in less than 1 1/2 hours!

Also available for the people to see were copies of our latest TPB’s, Mercury & The Murd-Volume 1: Collateral Damages and Agents of C.O.L.T.-Volume 1: Recipe For Destruction, both on sale now at http://dcbservice.com.
